Main areas of activity within the DMET Project:
- create a valid overview on business opportunities in the profit- and not-for-profit part of the online-music-market in the next 5 years with a special focus on interactions with the live-music sector, synopsis of market surveys, conference reports, literature, market research
- develop a network of organisations that have access to market information to form a virtual "observatory" for market development to produce reports written in a language understood by music creators,
- create an online resource base on research papers and materials concerning the topic,
- create an overview and list of available music business education offers in European countries (public and private),
- develop a serial of international conferences throughout Europe to create awareness for the problem and to market the ideas and services of DMET,
- develop a curriculum, learning material and workshop modules from 4 hours to full weekend seminars for the "digital music artisan",
- establish a network of trainers and speakers available on local level and train them,
- build the network of music education institutions (Universities, Conservatoires, Music Schools, Adult learning institutions, etc.) to implement the curriculum,
- roll out trainings for music creators through the networks of the co-organisers,
- digitization of music files,
- digitization of scores,
- create new standard contracts for the right holders about digitalization and distribution of notes, scores and sound files,
- setting a shop with music files on the Internet platform www.manymusics.org .
