Cracow | 'Artists in Tribute to Independent'

Artysci w holdzie 11 11 23As part of the new project of the Arte Musica Association 'Artists in Tribute to Independent', a concert will be held on the 11th of November, 2023 at 4 p.m. to celebrate the 105th anniversary of Regaining Independence. Famous artists will present Polish music at the historic headquarters of the 6th Airborne Brigade Club in Cracow. Admission to the event is free.

The repertoire includes songs for solo voice with piano accompaniment, songs for a cappella choir, as well as choral compositions with string quartet and piano accompaniment, arranged by Mariusz Kramarz.

Performers will be: Annika Mikołajko-Osman (soprano) and Anna Łakomy (piano), Mariola Siepak-Drobna (soprano) and Bartłomiej Kominek (piano), violinists Kornelia Polańska and Kelly Harrison, Daria Lalik (viola), Aleksandra Łukasik (cello) and the Choir of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Miechów conducted by Alicja Gaweł-Kramarz.

Opole | Concert at the Opole Philharmonic on the National Independence Day

During the concert of the Opole Philharmonic, commemorating the events of the 1918, on the 11th of November at 7 p.m., Witold Maliszewski's Piano Concerto and Edward Elgar's "Polonia" Symphonic Prelude will be performed. The recognized pianist Marcin Koziak, who has presented Polish music in 22 countries in Europe, Asia and North America, will perform as a soloist.

In July 2023, 150 years have passed since the birth of Witold Maliszewski. One of the last works of this composer - Piano Concerto in B flat minor - was written in 1938. The symphonic prelude "Polonia" by Edward Elgar was created in 1915, commissioned by Emil Młynarski. In the British composer's work, the melodies of Dąbrowski's Mazurka, the songs With the Smoke of Fires, Chopin's Nocturne in G minor and Paderewski's Polish Fantasy are intertwined with the main motif taken from Warszawianka 1905.

The Opole Philharmonic Orchestra will perform conducted by Przemysław Neumann, director of the institution.

Wrocław | Concert on the National Independence Day: 20 choirs in NFM

As many as sixteen Lower Silesian children's and youth choirs participating in the "Singing Poland" educational program will take part in the in the Concert on the occasion of the National Independence Day on the 11th of November, 2023 at 5 p.m. These groups, together with four other choirs from Wrocław and an instrumental ensemble, will present works by great figures of Polish choral music - Juliusz Łuciuk, Józef Świder and Stanisław Moniuszko, and will premiere compositions by artists of young generation.

During the concert, four new works by Krzysztof Domański - a vocalist, composer and flutist associated with Wrocław, who set to music the wonderful texts of Aleksander Fredro, Stanisław Jachowicz and Maria Konopnicka, will be performed for the first time.

Zielona Góra | 'Weekend with the Independent' at the Zielona Góra Philharmonic

The programme of the 3rd edition of the "Weekend with the Independent" at the Zielona Góra Philharmonic on November 10-12, 2023 includes a recital by the Canadian pianist Carter Johnson - winner of the 2nd Stanisław Moniuszko International Polish Music Competition in Rzeszów, vocal and instrumental concert "Recovered Independent" and the final concert of "Concerto Festivo" with the participation of Łukasz Długosz. The soloists will be accompanied by the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Rafał Kłoczko.

Carter Johnson's interpretation of the Sonatina by the patron of the Zielona Góra Philharmonic will be performed on the 10th of November, as well as works by Szymanowski, Chopin and Moniuszko's Three Waltzes.

During the concert on the 11th of November, on the 105th anniversary of Poland regaining independence, Joanna Zawartko (soprano), Adrian Domarecki (tenor) and Szymon Mechliński (baritone) will present fragments from forgotten and unknown operas, works that are just being recovered and brought back to life.

W repertuarze koncertu 22 listopada o godz. 19.30 w Teatrze Palladium z udziałem skrzypka Roby'ego Lakatosa i orkiestry AUKSO pod dyrekcją Marka Mosia nie zabraknie polskiego akcentu, jakim jest utwór Witolda Lutosławskiego Nie oczekuję dziś nikogo. Artysta nazywany diabelskim skrzypkiem wystąpi w ramach V Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Muzyki Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej „Eufonie".

Roby Lakatos z łatwością łączy muzykę klasyczną, jazz oraz rodzimy, węgierski folklor. Jest muzykiem uniwersalnym, u którego genialna technika idzie w parze z kreatywnością w improwizacji.

Warsaw | 5th 'Eufonie': Sale of an additional pool of tickets to the concert with music to the film 'Peasants' begins on the 10th of November

Created in painterly animation, The Peasants, directed by DK Welchman and Hugh Welchman, is a new look at the prose of Władysław Reymont. Music to the film was created by Lukasz L.U.C. Rostkowski and the Rebel Babel Orchestras, taking inspiration from the folk soundscape of Central and Eastern Europe. It will be performed on the 18th of November at 7:30 pm at the Warsaw Philharmonic.

4 years of intensive work, more than 200,000 hours spent painting images by more than 100 artists working in four studios: in Poland, Ukraine, Serbia and Lithuania. This effect is highlighted by the musical setting, which will be presented during the festival by L.U.C. & Rebel Babel Orchestras, Bela Komoszyńska, Maria Pomianowska (Biłgorajska suka), the Song Laboratory and the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Anna Sułkowska-Migoń.

Warsaw | 5. "Eufonie": Łukasz Długosz, NUSO Orchestra from Kharkiv and Jurek Dybał

As part of the 5th International Music Festival of Central and Eastern Europe “Eufonie” the Ukrainian Symphony Orchestra (NUSO) from Kharkiv, conducted by Jurek Dybał, will perform at the Warsaw Philharmonic on the 21st November at 8 p.m. The first part of the concert will be filled with music by Witold Lutosławski and Krzysztof Penderecki: the solo part in his Concerto for Flute and Orchestra will be performed by world-renowned Polish virtuoso Łukasz Długosz.

Katowice | 11th International Henryk Mikołaj Górecki Days "Górecki 90." concert dedicated to the Philharmony patron

As part of the 11th International Henryk Mikołaj Górecki Days "Górecki 90." on the 10th of November at 7 p.m., the Silesian Chamber Orchestra conducted by Radosław Droń, together with the recognized cellist Konrad Bargieł, will invite the audience to a unique concert dedicated to the memory of the Patron of the Silesian Philharmonic - Henryk Mikołaj Górecki - whose 13th death anniversary will be celebrated on the 12th of November, 2023.

The programme includes his Elegy and works by Samuel Barber, Niccolò Paganini, Giacomo Puccini and Ludwig van Beethoven.

Festival will last till the 9th of December.

Warsaw | 5th International Music Festival of Central and Eastern Europe 'Eufonie': inauguration

As last year, during the inauguration of the 5th International Music Festival of Central and Eastern Europe "Eufonie", one of the most famous orchestras in the world will perform: the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

On the 17th of November at 7:30 p.m. at the Warsaw Philharmonic, the ensemble conducted by Olari Elts will perform works by Edward Elgar, Karol Szymanowski, Jean Sibelius and Lotta Wennäkoski, who will be present in the audience that day.
