On the 5th of December, 2023, the New Music Center and the Laboratory of Anthropology of Musical Culture of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music (head: Dr. Leszek Lorent) are organizing a conference, exhibition and concert at the University dedicated to the work of Albert Ginastera on the 40th anniversary of his death.
During the concert at 8 p.m., Ginastera's monumental work Cantata para America magica for percussion orchestra, 2 pianos, celesta and dramatic soprano solo (Diana Gemborys) to the words of pre-Columbian texts in Nahuatl will be performed in the concert hall of the FCUM.
World premiere of Krzysztof Kicior's work ... so to speak for drums and live electronics will also take place.
All events are held under the patronage of the Embassy of Argentina in Warsaw.
