Sinfonia Varsovia under Jerzy Maksymiuk will perform compositions by Aleksander Tansman and Paweł Klecki on December 2, 2016 at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw.
The programme includes Symphony No. 5 (dedicated to Klecki) by Tansman and 2 works by Klecki: Sinfonietta, Op. 7 for large string orchestra and Concertino, Op. 34 for flute and orchestra, which had the first world (Concertino) and Polish (Sinfonietta) performances on November 29, 2016 at the Tansman Festival in Łódź, based on the reconstructed manuscripts. The solo part will be interpreted by Łukasz Długosz.
