Warsaw | 13th edition of the Festival ‘New Epiphanies’

13th edition of the interdisciplinary Festival ‘New Epiphanies’ organized by The Centre for the Thought of John Paul II will begin on the 2nd of March and will last till the 10th of April 2022. Jesus will be the central figure of this year’s edition and the theme ‘Why have you forsaken me?’.

The programme will comprise 8 theater premieres, concerts, installations and culinary event. Performances will take place in Warsaw in Theaters (TR Warszawa, Rampa, Powszechny, Komun Warszawa/Szkoła, Collegium Nobilium) spaces of Etnographic Museum, Station of Art Gallery, Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art and in Evangelical Reformed Church and Camaldolese Church.

The main purpose of the Festival is the search for new, contemporary epiphanies of beauty and creative dialogue between artists and traditional sacred art as in the “Letter to artists” of John Paul II. The most recent works of Polish composers like Ignacy Zalewski, Mateusz Żaboklicki, Katarzyna Szwed, Julianna Bloodgood and Szymon Godziemba-Trytek will be performed.

Subsidized by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the Culture Promotion Fund. The project is co-financed by the City of Warsaw.
