Reverend Prof. Hieronim Feicht’s Competition 2021 resolved!

Jury of the Reverend Prof. Hieronim Feicht’s Competition for 2021 unanimously admitted the main award to Mr Michał Lewicki for  his work ‘Music editing in Cracow in the second half of the 19th century (unpublished PhD thesis, Jagiellonian University 2021).

Jury members were: Prof. Paweł Gancarczyk, IS PAN (chair), Prof. Teresa Malecka, Prof. Remigiusz Pośpiech, Prof. Violetta Przech, Prof. Zbigniew Skowron, Prof. Małgorzata Woźna-Stankiewicz and Prof. Beata Bolesławska-Lewandowska, IS PAN (chair of the Musicology Section of the Polish Composers’ Union), Prof. Katarzyna Dadak-Kozicka, UMFC.

Jury awarded also honorable mentions to the following participants:

  • Agnieszka Cieślak for work ‘Music activity of Bronisław Mirski in American theatres (1914-1927)’ (unpublished PhD thesis, Warsaw University 2020);
  • Maria Kozan for work Music Culture of Ostrów Wielkopolski in the first half of the 20th Century’ (unpublished MA thesis, Wrocław University 2021);
  • Dominika Micał for work ‘Madrigal in work of the second half of the 20th and beginning of the 21th century composers. From the genres perspective. (Unpublished PhD thesis, Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Cracow 2021)
