Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
On the 11th of November, 2022 at 18.00 Józef Elsner Opole Philharmonic invites you to a concert on the occasion of the National Independence Day, which will be filled with Polish music. Prof. Edward Wolanin will perform at the concert.
The Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Przemysław Neumann will present the Overture to the singspiel Der Pole und sein Kind, in which Albert Lortzing quoted Dąbrowski's Mazurka. Then we will hear the Polish Fantasy on Original Themes in G sharp minor, Op. 19 by Ignacy Jan Paderewski for orchestra and piano.
The concert end with a symphonic poem Grażyna by Piotr Rytel, based on a text by Mickiewicz.
