Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
The artistic director of the Sopot Classic International Music Festival, Wojciech Rajski, and the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot invite young artists to take part in the 7th Krzysztof Penderecki Composition Competition. The deadline for applications is the 26th of April, 2023.
The Sopot Classic International Music Festival has been supporting and stimulating the work of young composers since its foundation. Any young composer with Polish citizenship, born not earlier than the 26th of April, 1988, can take part in the competition. Each participant may submit a maximum of three works composed for a string orchestra with one solo instrument.
During the Final Gala, which will take place during the 13th Sopot Classic International Music Festival, selected works from among the awarded or honored compositions will be performed.
