Jan Oleszkowicz,
composer and music teacher, b. 30th September 1947 in Jelenia Góra. Having completed violin, piano and clarinet classes in the State Secondary Music School in Wrocław, he studied composition with Grażyna Bacewicz and Andrzej Dobrowolski in the State Higher School of Music in Warsaw (1966-71; an honours degree). In 1977-80 he continued his studies in the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris with Olivier Messiaen and Ivo Malec and in Guy Reibel’s class of electroacoustic music. In 1978 he took part in master classes for composers taught by Iannis Xenakis in Aix-en-Provence in France. In 1981, he received training in computer music composition in IRCAM (Institut de Recherche et de Coordination Acoustique/Musique) in Paris. |
