4th Krakow Cello Spring

kww 2017 edition of the Krakow Cello Spring will be held between February 23 and 26 at the Academy of Music and Philharmonic in Krakow.

The line-up includes 3 chamber concerts featuring compositions by Astor Piazzolla and Heitor Villa-Lobos (Bachianas brasileiras performed by 16 cellists under Lars Loefs on February 23), works for cello solo and cello duo by Polish and Brazilian composers (February 24), and famous tunes written by Ennio Morricone (presented by Luca Pincini and Gilda Buttà on February 25), as well as a symphonic concert which will conclude the event on February 26 with works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Mikhail Glinka and Franz von Suppe performed by Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Krakow under Ivan Monighetti.
