The Krakow Opera invites you to the next concert of the cycle "Song – Theater of the Word", which will take place on April 22, 2018 at 5.00 p.m. in the unique acoustics of Jan Haluszka Chamber at the Wieliczka Salt Mine.
The concert will consist of the most beautiful songs that have been written for love poetry. Wioletta Chodowicz will perform selected works from the cycle Twelve Kurpie Songs, Op. 58 by Karol Szymanowski. The repertoire will also include six songs for voice and piano Love lyric by Franciszek Maklakiewicz in the interpretation of Agnieszka Cząstka, and selected Songs, Op. 74 by Fryderyk Chopin performed by Iwona Socha. We will also hear songs by Mieczysław Karłowicz and Ignacy Jan Paderewski, which will be presented by Andrzej Lampert and Adam Sobierajski. The repertoire of the evening will include works by such composers as Andrzej Panufnik, Krzysztof Penderecki, Feliks Nowowiejski, Stanisław Moniuszko, Ludomir Różycki, Jan Gall, Lucjan Marczewski, Marek Stachowski, Jerzy Gablenz and Stanisław Lipski. Soloists will be accompanied by pianist Sławomir Cierpik.
