On June 17, 2018, the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra will take part in the Open Days of European Funds. This year's edition is the fifth one in a row – NOSPR, as a beneficiary of EU funds, participates in the organization of this event.

Open Days of European Funds is an EU initiative implemented in Poland by the Ministry of Investment and Development. The action presents and promotes the effects of EU funds involvement in the development of various projects in Poland. The organizers have prepared a lot of attractions, including concerts, workshops for children and adults and selfie time.

At 11.00 am a concert of the Brass Band will be held under the direction of Anna Goj and Damian Łebek. Then there will be workshops for children "Concert savoir vivre  How to behave at a serious music concert", which will be led by Asia Bronisławska (01.00-01.45 pm). During the next meeting "Concert hall without secrets" (02. 00-03.00) NOSPR employees will talk about curiosities and acoustic qualities, as well as demonstrate the technical possibilities of the concert hall. At 3.00 pm the "Selfie time" will start  all visitors at NOSPR will have the opportunity to take a selfie in the concert hall, with instruments played by musicians, and shoot videos with their smartphones. In the evening, at 8.00 pm, in the Concert Hall there will be a concert of the Old Timers band  one of the oldest and most valued groups playing traditional jazz in Poland.

Workshops will also take place at the Amfiteatar (workshops with MIUOSH for children) and in the Chamber Hall (Jeremiasz Frączek will lead workshops for children "Little Sound Director", and Monika Drygalska will lead workshops for people aged 60+ "Feel the violin"). At 6.00 pm in the Chamber Hall, the New Music Orchestra will present Mouvement (-vor der Erstarrung) by Helmut Lachenmann and premiere Double bass concerto by Sławomir Wojciechowski. Łukasz Bebłot will perform as soloist.
