A conference and a concert promoting the album Roman Palester – Chamber music (RecArt) will take place on December 10 at 2:00 PM at the headquarters of the PWM Edition at 8 Fredry Street in Warsaw.
The University of Warsaw Foundation, the University of Warsaw Library and the Piąta Esencja Foundation invite to the conference and the completion of the first stage of digitalization of Roman Palester's heritage, implemented by the Piąta Esencja Foundation in cooperation with the University of Warsaw Library (depository of the composer's valuable archives). The partner of the first project is the 2nd Programme of Polish Radio.
Both projects are financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund: the first as part of the Musical Trace project implemented by the Institute of Music and Dance, the second as part of the Digital Culture project.
The results of the projects will be presented by: Lech Dzierżanowski – President of the Piąta Esencja Foundation, Piotr Maculewicz – head of the Music Department of the University of Warsaw Library, and Piotr Bocian representing the Warsaw University Foundation.
During the conference, the artists who recorded Roman Palester – chamber music, Anna Staśkiewicz and Marcin Zdunik will perform two parts of the Sonata for violin and cello by Palester. In addition, Lech Dzierżanowski will present valuable letters and scores by Roman Palester donated to the University of Warsaw Library.
