The audience and artists of the Krakow Opera will say goodbye to the old and welcome New Year with the concerts on 30, 31 December 2018 and 1 January 2019.
The evenings will be filled with Polish repertoire performed by the theater's artists: Katarzyna Oleś-Blacha, Iwona Socha, Paula Maciołek, Tomasz Kuk, Adam Szerszeń, Michał Kutnik and Jarosław Bielecki. They will be accompanied by Ballet, Choir and Orchestra of the Krakow Opera conducted by Tomasz Tokarczyk.
The programme of the concerts will include fragments from Stanisław Moniuszko's operas, including The Haunted Manor and Halka. We will also hear works of Fryderyk Chopin and Henryk Wieniawski, as well as film music of Wojciech Kilar and Michał Lorenc. New Year's Eve is a time of joy and fun, so there will be plenty of well-known songs from the repertoire of such stars and bands as Irena Santor, Irena Jarocka, Anna Jantar, Urszula Dudziak, Eugeniusz Bodo, Zbigniew Wodecki, Alibabki or Skaldowie. During the break, the Krakow Opera invites spectators to a glass of wine and refreshments.
