A series of concerts entitled "Music in the Gazebo. Guests of the Polish Chamber Choir" will last until 10 August 2019.
The concerts will take place every Saturday at 12.00 p.m. in the Oliwa Park, featuring artists from all over Poland. This year, the invitation was accepted by Piotr Janicki (bass-baritone), Monika Litwin-Dyngosz (mezzo-soprano), Justyna Kantorowicz (mezzo-soprano), Wojciech Dyngosz (baritone), Iwona Cender (guitar), Nowakowski / Wienacz Duo, Amber Trio, Natan Kosętka take part in the event. Trio and pianist Marta Kur and Justyna Jakubowska.
Since 2019 is the year of Stanisław Moniuszko, the repertoire will be dominated by songs and arrangements of the composer's works. In addition, the programme will include works by Mieczysław Karłowicz, Zygmunt Noskowski, Witold Lutosławski, Jan Trepczyk and Aleksander Tansman. During the final concert on 10 August, the Polish Chamber Choir will perform choral works by Stanisław Moniuszko and Edward Pałłasz as well as the arrangements of songs from the repertoire of Jerzy Wasowski and Jeremi Przybora.
Admission to all concerts is free.
