A concert of graduates of the Vocal and Acting Department of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań will be held on 6 September 2019 at 7 p.m. in Aula Nova.

Katarzyna Wietrzna – soprano (from the vocal class of Prof. Iwona Kowalkowska), Dominika Dobrolińska – soprano (from the vocal class of Prof. Barbara Mądra-Bednarek) and Natalia Pyzhianova – alto (from the vocal class of Prof. Marek Moździerz) will perform together with the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra. A concert of students with a professional orchestra is the first moment in their artistic careers when the instrumentalists, conductors and composers have a chance to work with a large orchestral group. For many years, Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music cooperates in this project with Tadeusz Szeligowski Poznań Philharmonic, and the effect of this cooperation is the September concert with students of symphony conducting: Łukasz Ksobiraj (the class of dr Przemysław Neumann) and Marta Kaca (the class of dr José Maria Florêncio).

The musicians will perform arias and duets from the operas of W. A. ​​Mozart, G. Puccini, G. Verdi, G. Rossini, J. Offenbach, F. Cilei, as well as The Fairy Tale concert overture by Stanisław Moniuszko and the Romeo and Juliet fantasy-ouverture by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. In addition, the concert programme will include the premiere of Perun's Lament for symphony orchestra by Mateusz Matyska, a graduate student from the composition class of Prof. Monika Kędziora.
