Poznań | 3rd Tromboholizm – Poznań Trombone Music Festival

Tromboholizm

"Tromboholism – Poznań Trombone Music Festival" – a unique event on the map of Poznań, which brings together trombone players from all over Poland and Europe – will be held on 9-10 November 2019.

The project is organized by the Sepia Ensemble Association, and co-organized by the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Music Academy in Poznań. The festival will feature concerts, lectures and master classes led by famous trombone players from around the world. This year's guests will be: Thomas Leyendecker (Berliner Philharmoniker, Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig), György Gyivicsan (F. Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest), Tomasz Hajda (NOSPR in Katowice, K. Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław), Grzegorz Nagorski (Academy of Music in Kraków) and Maciej Łakomy (I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań).

The third edition of the Festival we feature a concert of the combined trombone classes of the music academies in Leipzig, Budapest, Wrocław, Szczecin and Poznań, a jazz concert of the Nagorski / Banyś ensemble and a concert of this year's lecturers. The programme will include works for trombone by composers from around the world, including Polish ones: Sonata by Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska, For Joseph and My Master by Piotr Banyś. The inauguration concert will premiere Sol - solo Dio! by Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska, Assistant Professor at the I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań.
