The Automatophone Foundation invites you to the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw (3 Pańska St.) for the sound installation of Jaroslaw Siwiński entitled Imaginary Chopin (Chopin urojony), which will be presented from 9 to 17 November 2019.
The installation consists of computer variations based on processed and multiplied motifs, phrases and harmonies derived from the waltzes and études by Fryderyk. Chopin. All imaginations will be performed by the Yamaha Disklavier autonomous piano. The Yamaha Disklavier piano was made available courtesy of Yamaha Music Europe Spółka z o.o. Branch in Poland.
The concert-installation programme includes the cycle of études Chopin Elements (2012) and the premiere of Imaginary waltzes (2019), which were written as part of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage programme "Composing "Commissions" implemented by the Institute of Music and Dance.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on 8 November at 7 p.m.. Free admission!
