The Wigrosfera Festival, which will take place on 26 and 27 June 2020 in the Wigry National Park, is a sonic response to the natural human need for communing with nature and culture.
The festival concerts will be broadcast online from the stage located on the PTTK beach in Stary Folwark with a view of one of the most beautiful Polish lakes – Wigry in the Suwałki Region. The Festival aims at popularising classical Polish music and its latest achievements. Two days will feature four concerts presenting, among other, string trios by Karol Lipiński, contemporary works by Paweł Szymański and Krzysztof Penderecki, electric string quartet with synthesizers, electronic music and classical cello. By using latest innovative technologies, the organisers will transfer listeners to the multilayer world of contemporary art.
Among the performers will be Resina (Karolina Rec), NeoQuartet, Roshko Brothers and Voytek Proniewicz. The artists will also take part in the meetings held after the concerts. A special guest of the event will be composer Paweł Szymański.
The festival is co-financed by the National Centre for Culture as part of the "Culture on the web" programme and by the Podlaskie Voivodeship.
