The 24th "Nova Music and Architecture" International Festival will highlight interesting elements of Toruń architecture by running artistic events in various parts of the city. 16 different projects will be held between 26 June and 5 September: symphony and chamber concerts, a film projection with live music and a photo exhibition.

The idea of ​​the Festival, which is organized by the Toruń Symphony Orchestra, is to present music in both the historical and modern interiors of Toruń architecture. This year's edition will feature concerts combining symphony and popular music, among others "One, Two, Three Symphonic", "Beethoven Electric 2D", concerts commemorating such important events as the 100th birth anniversary of Pope John Paul II, the 100th anniversary of the Miracle on the Vistula, the Polish Army Day and the 100th anniversary of Toruń's return to free Poland. The programme will include well-known works by Edvard Grieg, George Bizet, Gioachino Rossini and Giuseppe Verdi as well as compositions of Polish composers: Mikołaj from Kraków, Jan Podbielski, Fryderyk Chopin, Henryk Wieniawski, Mieczysław Surzyński, Gustaw Roguski, Karol Szymanowski, Wojciech Kilar, Krzysztof Baculewski and Grażyna Pstrokońska-Nawratil. We will also witness the first performance of Iwona Kisiel's Once Upon the See 2 for 2 flutes and harpsichord. Violin recitals will be a unique opportunity hear the winners of the 5th Karol Lipiński International Violin Festival and Competition: Elias David Moncado and Robert Łaguniak. The festival finale will feature opera works performed by outstanding Lithuanian soloists and the Toruń Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dainius Pavilionis.
