The Basilica of Our Lady of Licheń inivites you to the summer concerts on the unique Licheń organ which will be held three times a day (at 11.00 a.m., 1.30 and 8.00 p.m.), except Sundays, until 10 September 2020.
Jacek Hyżny, Maciej Wota, Piotr Kaczmarczyk, Paweł Opala, Dymitr Morozow, Sebastian Kuczyński, Roksana Kalinowska and Maciej Somerla will perform on the largest organ in Poland, designed by Andrzej Chorosiński. The instrument is composed of 5 independent sections, arranged in several places. The programme will include works of different eras and styles, compositions by Mikołaj from Kraków, Michał Kleofas Ogiński, Fryderyk Chopin, Mieczysław Surzyński, Feliks Nowowiejski, Michał Lorenc and organ improvisations on Polish church songs.
From 5 July, Marian priests will also invite listeners to concerts at 2.30 p.m. held as part of the 2nd International Organ Festival.
