The eighth edition of the Emanacje Music Festival will be held in Lusławice between 5 July and 30 August 2020. The inaugural concert will include works by Krzysztof Penderecki performed by chamber musicians of Sinfonietta Cracovia.
Music lovers will have the opportunity to rediscover Lusławice, also in virtual space, take part in various concerts and meetings with great performers. Above all, however, the 8th Emanacje Festival will pay tribute to the memory of Krzysztof Penderecki, a great Pole, Patron and Founder of the European Centre for Music.
Artist – Work – Meetings. These key words open up a universe, in which the composer's heritage resonates with thousands of sounds. This year's Festival will be an emanation of the timeless presence of Krzysztof Penderecki in his beloved Lusławice, where the Artist realized his visionary ideas: an impressive park dedicated to young musicians of the Centre, subsequent works enthusiastically received around the world.
Penderecki's chamber and solo works will be performed by leading Polish ensembles and soloists and their recordings will be made available online, gradually filling up the widely available content of the festival website. The Festival will also include a permanent multimedia exhibition entitled "Krzysztof Penderecki – Heritage of Polish Music of the 20th and 21st Centuries", presenting the artist and his work in the context of the achievements of Polish composers of the last century. The opening of the famous Lusławice Arboretum, which is the fruit of Krzysztof Penderecki's long-term passion and contains a unique dendrological collection on a European scale, will be a special event accompanying this year's Festival. A unique park setting will also become a scenery of part of festival concerts.
