Lublin | "Time is Love" – vocal recital by Małgorzata Grzegorzewicz-Rodek

FLA vocal recital by Małgorzata Grzegorzewicz-Rodek from the concert cycle "Time is Love" – a tribute to the Primate of the Millennium in the year of beatification, will take place on 11 July 2020 at 5.00 p.m. in the Zamoyski Museum in Kozłówka.

The concert will be filled with music of different eras, styles and genres in the interpretation of soprano Małgorzata Grzegorzewicz-Rodek and pianist Tomasz Krawczyk. We will hear, among others, sacred music by baroque-era composers, as Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, and Polish composers – Damian Stachowicz and Marcin Józef Żebrowski. The epoch of classicism will be represented by a fragment of the motet Exultate jubilate KV 165 of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The programme will include romantic compositions by Józef Wieniawski, Stanisław Moniuszko, César Franck but also Mieczysław Karłowicz, associated with the group of artists known as "Young Poland".

The concert will be complemented by Fryderyk Chopin's piano pieces, including the magnificent Polonaise in A flat major pp. 53 called "Heroic". The subtitle of the work comes from Chopin's muse – George Sand. The Polonaise composed in 1842 belongs to one of the most important works of the piano repertoire. The Polonaise was called by critics the most perfect work in the history of the genre. At the end of the concert, Paderevsky’s works will be performed.

Admission to the concerts in the "Time is love ..." series is free. According to the guidelines of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, audience participants are required to submit a special statement regarding the epidemiological status.

Concert cycle is co-financed by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund, under the “Muzyka” programme, implemented by the Institute of Music and Dance.
