44th Social Concert online "Tadeusz Zieliński in memoriam"

Dwór ArtusaA concert "Tadeusz Zieliński in memoriam", dedicated to the outstanding clarinet player who died 10 years ago, will be streamed live for free on 17 November 2020 at 5.30 p.m. on Facebook and YouTube of the Artus Court in Gdańsk. This will be another event as part of the "In memoriam" series dedicated to the memory of people who contributed to the development of culture in Toruń.

Tadeusz Zieliński graduated from the State Higher Music School in Łódź (Bydgoszcz branch), where he studied clarinet with prof. Zdzisław Kulak. He collaborated with many cultural institutions in the region. He worked at the Opera and Operetta in Bydgoszcz and at the Pomeranian Philharmonic. He was also a successful performer and pedagogue. He taught clarinet at the Music School Complex in Toruń for thirty-three years, educating many great clarinet players who now play in symphony and chamber orchestras around the world.

The November concert will feature pieces for solo clarinet, clarinet with piano and string quintet performed by Tadeusz Zielińki's students and even students of his students. The programme will include Magdalena Cynk's Concerto for clarinet and string quintet, Michał Ossowski's Keelmen's Etude as well as works by Carl Maria von Weber, Robert Schumann and Francis Poulenc.
