As part of the "Concert by candlelight" music series, which has been carried out for years by the Częstochowa Philharmonic in the Rector's Church, we will hear Stanisław Moryto's Cello Concerto performed by Tomasz Strahl. The concert will be held on the Philharmonic YouTube channel on 30 April 2021 at 7.00 p.m.
The concert soloist – one of the most famous Polish cellists, professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, laureate of national and international competitions – is an excellent interpreter of Stanisław Moryto's Concerto. He has arranged its solo part in the score published by the FCUM as part of the series "First editions of music by Polish composers", aimed at promoting works written by local teachers. On 30 April, Tomasz Strahl will perform the second part of this piece as well as the Cello Concerto in A minor RV422 by Antonio Vivaldi.
The Częstochowa Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Adam Klocek will also perform Vivaldi's Concerto for Strings in C minor RV119 and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Eine kleine Nachtmusik K.525. The concert will be hosted by pr. Mikołaj Węgrzyn.
