Warsaw, Katowice | "Chain XVIII" Witold Lutosławski Festival

LancuchThis year's "Chain XVIII" Witold Lutosławski Festival includes three symphonic and two chamber concerts, which will be held from 25 May to 1 July 2021.

The programme will feature selected compositions by Witold Lutosławski and related masterpieces of 19th and 20th-century Polish and foreign music – including works rarely performed on national stages, e.g. Autograph for chamber orchestra by Konstanty Regamey. The list of performers will include outstanding artists from Poland and abroad: orchestras – Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Chain Ensemble – as well as soloists and chamber musicians: Karol Kozłowski, Roksana Kwaśnikowska, Agnieszka Kozło, Magdalena Bojanowicz, Radosław Kurek, Joanna Freszel and Jakub Jakowicz.

In May, two concerts will be broadcast on the Polish Radio Channel 2 and streamed online on its Facebook page and YouTube channel, and in June and July, three concerts will be held with the participation of the audience.

The festival is financed under the "Music" programme, carried out by the Institute of Music and Dance, and from the funds of the Society of Authors ZAiKS and the Union of Performing Artists STOART.
