Jelenia Góra | "Stage for Polish Music": Kraków Reed Trio / Kraków Wind Quintet

FDThe Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra invites you on 9 June 2021 at 7.00 p.m. to a concert as part of the "Stage for Polish Music" programme, carried out by the National Institute of Music and Dance. The Kraków Reed Trio / Kraków Wind Quintet will present works by outstanding Polish composers.

The ensembles were formed in 1998 on the initiative of the oboist Marek Mleczko of the Capella Cracoviensis Chamber Orchestra. They consist of outstanding instrumentalists, laureates of music competitions, teachers of the Music Academies in Kraków and Katowice. They have performed many chamber concerts with a varied repertoire, from baroque to contemporary music, at almost all prestigious music festivals in Poland, meeting with an enthusiastic reception of the audience and critical acclaim. They collaborate with Polish composers and premiere their works, which are often dedicated to the ensembles.

The programme of the upcoming concert will include Artur Malawski's Eye of the Sea from the series Elements of the Tatras for wind quintet, Marek Stachowski's Pezzo grazioso for wind quintet, Józef Świder's Lyrical miniatures for wind quintet, Alexandr Tansman's Suite pour trio d`anches, Witold Lutosławski's Trio, and Antoni Szałowski's Trio for oboe, clarinet and bassoon.
