Warsaw | Concert on the 230th anniversary of the adoption of the May 3rd Constitution

JaxA concert on the occasion of the 230th anniversary of the adoption of the May 3rd Constitution, organised by the Jax Association and the Bemowo District of the Capital City of Warsaw, will be held on 6 June 2021 at 2.00 p.m. at the Church of the Mother of God in Warsaw.

The list of performers includes artists involved in national and international cultural life: Krzysztof Borysiewicz (bass) – collaborating with the Grand Theater – National Opera in Warsaw, Mainfranken Theater Würzburg, Salzburger Landestheater and Staatstheater Kassel, winner of the Grand Prix at the Francisco Vinas Vocal Competition in Barcelona; Róża Lorenc (violin) – winner of national and international violin competitions, multiple scholarship holder of the Mayor of Gdańsk; and Wiktor Brzuchacz (organ) – winner of the "Golden Laurel for Young Organist", graduate of the Conservatory in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and the Academy of Music in Poznań

The concert repertoire includes outstanding works of Polish and European music literature. In addition to compositions by Antonio Vivaldi, Edward Elgar, Gabriel Fauré, Cezar Cui and Camille Saint-Saëns, we will hear pieces by Emil Młynarski and Roman Statkowski, which impresses with compositional artistry, depth of expression and a variety of moods. Musical works will be intertwined with the historical outline of the adoption of the May 3rd Constitution and the presentation of the most important figures related to this event.
