The 10th Euro Chamber Music Festival will be held in Gdańsk on 21 June – 23 July 2021. The festival received the international prestigious EFFE (Europe For Festivals Festivals For Europe) label for 2019-2021, awarded by the European Festival Association to the most interesting art festivals in Europe.
From the first edition, the festival hosted renowned foreign chamber musicians, as well as winners of international music competitions at the beginning of their careers and outstanding instrumentalists of the young generation associated with Gdańsk. The 10th anniversary edition will feature performances by, among others, The Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Jan Lewtak, Split Guitar Quartet, Cracow Duo, Franck Leblois, Krzysztof Komendarek-Tymendorf, Arnaud Kaminski, Arthashes and Sarah Stamboltsyan. The programme will be composed of musical masterpieces of various eras, including works by Fryderyk Chopin, Mieczysław Karłowicz, Ludomir Różycki and Feliks Nowowiejski.
On 29 June, there will be an evening of poetry by Cyprian Kamil Norwid and Charles Baudelaire on the occasion of their 200th birth anniversary. The performance of one of the greatest Polish actors, Jan Englert, will be accompanied by the French-Polish string ensemble Duo del Gesù.
