3rd Czarnolas Festival of Arts

CzThe 3rd Czarnolas Festival of Arts, one of the biggest summer music festivals in Poland, will run from 18 July to 1 August 2021. There will be piano recitals, early music concerts, symphonic concerts, performances of folk groups, debuts by young artists, thematic discussions, lectures, piano workshops, painting workshops and literary meetings. The motto of this year's edition of the festival is "The Art of Freedom", referring to the 265th birthday and 230th death anniversary of W. A. ​​Mozart – the first "free" artist.

The festival events will take place in various places associated with Jan Kochanowski: in Czarnolas, Gródek, Policzna, Zwoleń, Janowiec, and Opactwo. Among the performers, there will be stars of the Polish music and theatre scene: Włodek Pawlik, Łukasz Pawlik, Rafał Janiak, Jerzy Zelnik, Marek Toporowski, Concerto Polacco, the Polish Royal Opera, Edward Wolanin and Filip Wojciechowski. This year's edition will be inaugurated by the Czarnolas Festival Orchestra, which was established especially for the festival. The ensemble will perform on 18 July at 6:30 in the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Zwoleń.

The programme of this year's event includes, among others, music by Jakub Reys Pole, Wojciech Długoraj, Fryderyk Chopin, Henryk Wieniawski, Karol Szymanowski, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Tadeusz Baird, Romuald Twardowski as well as Włodek and Łukasz Pawlik.
