Krościenko on the Dunajec | 11th Summer Festival "Pieniny – Kultura – Sacrum"

PIeninyAfter a two-year break caused by the epidemiological situation, the Summer Festival "Pieniny – Kultura – Sacrum" returns to the Church of Christ the Good Shepherd in Krościenko on the Dunajec river. For five consecutive Saturdays, starting on 17 July 2021 at 7.00 p.m., we will be able to listen to organ and chamber music performed by renowned instrumentalists and vocalists from Poland and Hungary.

The common denominator of the concerts will be organ music, which the Festival has been dedicated to from the very beginning. We will listen to organ solo, as well as an accompaniment to the violin, flute and voice. The All Saints Parish Choir will perform for the first time during the festival with a programme representing the unique sacred music of the Pieniny Mountains. We will hear works by Mikołaj Gomółka, Marcin Józef Żebrowski, Feliks Nowowiejski and Michał Lorenc. Moreover, Błażej Musiałczyk and Jacek Ścibor will present compositions by Stanisław Kwiatkowski and Otto Mieczysław Żukowski.

Traditionally, all concerts will be accompanied by an exhibition prepared by members of the Pieniny Artists Association. Admission to the concerts is free!

The organiser of the 11th "Pieniny-Kultura-Sacrum" Summer Festival is the ARS PRO ARTE Foundation for the Promotion of Culture and Art.
