Sopot | 11th NDI Sopot Classic International Music Festival

NDIFor the eleventh time, maestro Wojciech Rajski and the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot invite you to the NDI Sopot Classic International Music Festival, which will be held on 25-31 July 2021.

This year's edition will be one of the official events of the 120th anniversary of granting city rights to Sopot. For many years, the festival has been one of the most anticipated cultural events in the Tri-City, attracting classical music lovers and those who are just discovering the world of classical music. The upcoming edition will feature, among others, Ildar Abdrazakov, Jan Jakub Monowid, Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk, Szymon Mechliński, Janusz Wawrowski, and Collegium Vocale 1704 conducted by Václav Luks.

A separate concert at the Forest Opera will be devoted exclusively to Polish music. Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot under the baton of conductor and composer Rafał Janiak will perform Sinfonietta No. 3 by Krzysztof Penderecki, Screams by Paweł Mykietyn and a piece by the winner of the 6th Krzysztof Penderecki Competition for Composers – L’entourage de silence per archi by Krystian Neścior. The concert is co-organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance as part of its own programme "Conductor-in- residence".
