The Warsaw Branch of the Polish Composers' Union invites you on 20 September 2021 at 5.00 p.m. to the concert in the "Musical Seasons" series – Autumn 2021, which will take place at the Warsaw Branch of PWM Edition (8 Fredry St.).
The concert will be performed by saxophonist Cezariusz Gadzina and pianist Anna Ciborowska, who make up the virtuoso Exprezz Duo. The musicians will present Elegy by Maciej Małecki, Dialogue by Artur Cieślak, A. by Maciej Zieliński, Lapidaria Moniuszkowskie by Alicja Gronau, Impressions I by Weronika Ratusińska, Preludes by Sławomir Zamuszko, Sonata No. 2 for alto saxophone and piano by Rafał Stradomski, and 3 Sabałowe Interludes by Sławomir Czarnecki, the President of the PCU's Warsaw Branch.
The concert will culminate in the premiere of Maciej Małecki's Rhapsody for alto saxophone and piano (2021), dedicated to Anna Ciborowska and Cezariusz Gadzina – the initiator of the work. The piece was commissioned by the TAK Foundation as part of the "Composing Commissions" programme carried out by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
