Premiere of the album "Andrzej Koszewski – Choral Works", or his orchestra of human voices

DUXThe album "Andrzej Koszewski  Choral Works" will be available for sale from 7 October 2021. The fourth album in the "Anthology of Polish works a cappella" series, realised since 2018 by the Collegium Cantorum Choir of the Częstochowa Philharmonic conducted by Janusz Siadlak, was released by DUX Recording Producers in cooperation with the Institute of Art Developement.

Andrzej Koszewski's music stands out from contemporary Polish choral music, which is why the presence of his works in the anthology initiated by Janusz Siadlak is a natural, and even necessary, step. Especially on the eve of the 100th birth anniversary of the composer, whose output is dominated by music for a cappella choir.

The album includes a cross-section of Andrzej Koszewski's work – 60 minutes of exceptional music, including both sacred and secular works. The Częstochowa Philharmonic Choir under the baton of Janusz Siadlak presents: Fa-Re-Mi-Do-Si Music (1960), the poetic Great Poland Triptych (1963), delightful miniatures Games (1968), Tre pezzi (1986), Angelus Domini (1981) – dedicated to John Paul II, and Trittico da messa (1992).

A concert promoting the album will be held on 18 November at 7.00 p.m. at the Częstochowa Philharmonic.

The album is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport as part of the "Musical Trace" programme carried out by the National Institute of Music and Dance. The partners are the ZAiKS Authors' Association, the Regional Cultural Centre in Częstochowa and the Częstochowa Philharmonic.
