Olsztyn | Improvisation Workshops for Children "Tell me a story" 2021

OMBThe next edition of the improvisation workshops for children "Tell me a story", organised by the Polish Society for Contemporary Music for several years throughout Poland, is about to start. The first workshop in 2021 will be held on 7-9 October as part of the "Sonikalia" sound festival for children in Olsztyn.

The main idea of the project is to popularize the music of our time and the art of improvisation among the youngest. During the workshops, children aged 3-5 and 6-8 learn the basics of improvisation, discover a variety of instruments, play with beautifully illustrated books (including the "Ulica Czereśniowa" series by Dwie Siostry publishing house) and thus gently enter the world of contemporary music.

The classes are conducted by outstanding artists: harpist Agata Galik, double bass player Małgorzata Kołcz, composer and pianist Jarosław Siwiński, and actor and director of plays for children Grzegorz Ociepka.

This year, the workshops will be held in the framework of two projects in Krajenka, Zakrzewo, Jastrowie, Bielawa and Warsaw.

Co-financed by the Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport from the Culture Promotion Fund. Sponsored by the PZU Foundation.
