Szczecin | 4th edition of the Szczecin Classic Festival

Between the 26th of  April and the 3rd of May 4th edition of Szczecin Classic - the largest festival of classical music in Western Pomerania – as well as music courses of the Szczecin Classic Academy will take place. This year's edition of the Festival will be devoted to Polish music of the 20th and 21st centuries and the theme of the event is ‘Z klassą’ (‘With class).

The guests of the Festival will be: concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic Daniel Stabrawa, leader of the Szymanowski Quartet Agata Szymczewska, Emanuel Salvador concertmaster of the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra, Tomasz Tomaszewski violin professor at UDK in Berlin, Konstantin Heidrich professor of cello at UDK in Berlin, cellist and conductor Adam Klocek, Grammy Award winner Andriy Viytovych professor of viola at the Academy of Music in London and pianist Michał Francuz.

During the project the Polish Piano Quartet will be launched.
During the festival opening concert, which will be streamed live by the Programme 2 of the Polish Radio and online, the As-SAI Piano Trio, prize winner of the competition for the chamber ensemble residency, will perform.
Music of Kazimierz Serocki, Mieczysław Wajnberg, Wojciech Kilar, Paweł Łukaszewski, Mikołaj Piotr Górecki and Romuald Twardowski will be performed.

During the festival there will be an international music course for pupils, students and graduates of music academies as well as a competition for the chamber ensemble residency.
