The Music Society of Silesian Chamber Musicians invites you to a series of concerts 'Music by Weight', which will take place on June 19 - August 18, 2022 in Będzin and Tarnowskie Góry. Plastic caps are the key to all events of this artistic eco-project - they constitute an admission ticket.
The concerts will take place at the Mieroszewski Palace in Będzin and the Palace in Rybna. Upon the admission to the concert the ‘tickets’ (caps) will be collected and handed over to the city's ‘heart-baskets’. The concert repertoire was planned in such a way that whole families could participate in the event: the programme includes Polish contemporary music (among other works by Wojciech Kilar, Henryk Kuźniak, Dariusz Zboch), a music fairy tale, masterpieces of classical music, tango, Neapolitan songs and music from such films as Mission, Cinema Paradiso, Promised Land, Vabank.
Performers will be: Maciej Zakościelny, Silesian Chamber Quintet, Silesian Chamber Orchestra conducted by Piotr Wijatkowski, CasaDuo Łukasz Gaj (tenor), Elwira Śliwkiewicz-Cisak (accordion), Roman Widaszek (clarinet), Magdalena Duś (piano).
