In August 2022 on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of Zielona Góra and the 700th anniversary of granting city rights, concerts organized by the city will take place.
On the 13th of August at 7:00 p.m. at the Museum of the Lubuskie Region, Reed Connection Trio will perform a premiere of Czesław Grabowski's Cantabile e Scherzando. It will also present works by Aleksander Tansman, Katarzyna Kwiecień-Długosz, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven.
On the 20th of August at 5:00 p.m. a concert ‘800 instruments for the 800th anniversary of the city of Zielona Góra’ will take place. Anyone can apply to join an unusual orchestra: the aim of the project is to create the largest city orchestra in Poland and to perform Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah on all existing instruments.
