The Gidaszewska/Łaguniak/Koziak Trio will perform as part of the ‘Polish Music Stage’ programme, implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance, on the 23rd March, 2023 at 6:00 pm in the Chamber Hall of CKK Jordanki in Toruń and on the 24th of March at 7:00 pm at the Henryk Wieniawski Philharmonic in Lublin. The concert programme includes works by Maurycy Moszkowski, Roman Palester, Aleksander Tansman and Grażyna Bacewicz.
Maurycy Moszkowski's Romantic Suite Op.71 and Roman Palester's Sonata for Two Violins and Piano, representing the breakthrough of Neoclassicism and Expressionism, are among the most outstanding works in chamber literature written for this rarely seen on stage instrumental ensemble. At the peak of the development of the neoclassical trend in life of Grażyna Bacewicz, Partita for violin and piano was written. At the beginning of the recital, we will hear Aleksander Tansman's neoclassical Sonatina for flute or violin and piano.
The Gidaszewska/Łaguniak/Koziak ensemble consists of young musicians who perform in over 25 countries and are winners of numerous international music competitions, e.g. International S. Moniuszko Competition of Polish Music, which in 2021 connected their musical paths.
