On the 18^th of March 2022 during a concert at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Chicago the world-famous Polish composer, percussionist and teacher Marta Ptaszyńska was awarded the Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland for outstanding achievements in the field of composition!

During the concert in Chicago, The Zafa Collective group presented composer’s chamber works: Red Rays, White Shadows, Graffito, Lullaby for Benjamin, The Gates of Light and Sappho Songs. Consul Małgorzata Bąk-Guzik on behalf of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, awarded the artist with the Commander's Cross. After the official ceremony a meeting with the composer took place.

Podopieczni dr hab. Sylwii Burnickiej-Kalischewskiej, profesor Akademii Sztuki w Szczecinie nieustannie pracują nad swoją formą wokalną i sprawdzają się uczestnicząc w różnych konkursach na świecie. Na początku 2022 roku wyśpiewali sobie laury w Europie i Azji.

Szesnastoletni Alexander Kalischewski zdobył nagrodę Grand Prix w całej kategorii wokalnej II Międzynarodowego Konkursu Muzyki i Sztuki w stolicy Korei Południowej – Seulu. Dodatkowo otrzymał nagrodę specjalną w postaci bezpłatnego udziału w kolejnym międzynarodowym konkursie w Wenecji. Startująca pośród uczestników w wieku 19-25 lat Weronika Włodarczyk, studentka Wydziału Wokalnego Akademii Sztuki w Szczecinie, wygrała w swojej grupie, otrzymując I nagrodę. Te znakomite wyniki Alexandra i Weroniki zadecydowały o przyznaniu przez jury konkursu w Seulu prof. Sylwii Burnickiej-Kalischewskiej nagrody specjalnej dla najlepszego pedagoga.

Weronika i Alexander zwyciężyli także w swoich kategoriach wiekowych w Międzynarodowym Konkursie Muzycznym w czeskich Karlowych Warach. Alexander przekonał jeszcze jury konkursu w Singapurze i zdobył I nagrodę. Weronice Włodarczyk przyznano srebrny medal i II miejsce w niemieckim konkursie w Dreźnie. Weronice i Alexandrowi udało się również uplasować na drugim miejscu w swoich kategoriach wiekowych w chińskim konkursie „Beijing Stars" w Pekinie, gdzie kolejnej studentce szczecińskiej wokalistyki Fatimie Aldalati przyznano trzecią nagrodę.

Konkursy odbywały się w oparciu o nadesłane nagrania wykonań pieśni artystycznych oraz arii operowych i oratoryjnych. Podczas nagrań studentkom Akademii Sztuki w Szczecinie akompaniowała przy fortepianie Elena Swiridenko, a Alexandrowi – Romuald Kalischewski.

On the 6^th of January 2022 at the St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Dąbrowa Górnicza a charity concert 'Carols, Christmas songs and many more’ took place.

The orchestra composed of students of the Academy of Music in Katowice performed arrangements of well-known carols as well as works by students of composition: Monika Kozakiewicz, Julia Mazur, Andrzej Mandryka and Maciej Seget. The programme included also pieces by Vaughan Jones, Hubert Kowalski, Wiktor Lorens, Paweł Mazur, Piotr Pałka and Zbigniew Preisner.

Volunteers raised 2413, 50 zloty during the event and will donate the sum to the Wspólnota Burego Misia (Grey Bear Community) who is taking care of people with disabilities. Almost 60 people were involved in the event and call the outcome a success especially taking the epidemic situation into account. Thanks to the generosity of the donors Community will be able to organise a summer camp for its members.
