"Welcome Spring!" – online family concert

e"Welcome Spring!", a family concert of the Gorzów Philharmonic, will be broadcast online on 21 March 2021 at 12.00 p.m. on the Philharmonic's YouTube channel and Facebook. The recording will be available for the next 24 hours.

On the occasion of the first day of spring, young and old music lovers will be able to watch extraordinary musical stories about the world of nature – insects, birds and water expans, which will engage them in an unusual game of imagination and impressions.

Ornithology composed by Jarosław Siwiński to the words by Małgorzata Kołcz is a piece that awakens imagination and becomes a fascinating game – with sound, text, form, texture, instruments, colours, twittering and various melodies. Insectology is a fairy tale about Mrs. Mosquito, who meets Beetle the Growler, Miss Ladybird and other nice creatures on her way. Simple children's songs illustrated with music were written by Anna Maria Huszcza. Adrian Robak's Hydrology to Maja Baczyńska's text is an extraordinary story about the element of water. The piece juxtapose the human voice with the harp and percussion instruments.

We will hear these wonderful compositions performed by outstanding soprano Joanna Freszel and the Gorzów Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Bartosz Olejnik.

Warsaw | "Awantura w mollDurze" at the Mazovian Musical Theatre

MTMThe Jan Kiepura Mazovian Musical Theatre invites you to the Awantura w MollDurze [A Brawl in MinorMajor] – a unique performance for the whole family, and above all for youth and children from the age of six. The libretto was written by Maciejka Mazan especially for the Theatre, the performance was directed by Agnieszka Płoszajska, and the music was composed by Marcin Kuczewski. Two performances will take place on 28 February 2021, at 4.00 and 7.00 p.m.

Among the offers targeted to young viewers, the theater has a special place. It's much more than entertainment. Theatre teaches children to think out of the box, develops imagination and creative skills, and makes them sensitive to the feelings of others.

The MinorMajor is the imaginary world of the main character, Wiola. During her travels, she meets various characters, including: Baba Yaga, dwarfs, the mad White Rabbit, King Harmony. Every meeting is an intriguing adventure that brings with it an instructive lesson of growing up. A Brawl in MinorMajor is also an educational journey, during which the young viewer learns about styles, musical genres and instruments. Nevertheless, the most important thing is the joy that theatre and music bring!

The fairy-tale characters will be played by extraordinary young actors: Zuzanna Makowska, Kamil Zięba, Sylwia Przetak, Paulina Grochowska, Karol Osentowski and Jeremiasz Gzyl.

An interactive music experiment, or Sound Generation – X

KordaszczukThe upcoming school concert organised by the Szczecin Philharmonic will be a completely new music experiment. On the stage we will see a symphony orchestra and… a sensory orchestra. The premiere of the concert will be available for free on the Philharmonic's Facebook and on the new EduFilharmonia YouTube channel on 22 February 2021 at 11.00 a.m.

School concerts are events intended for grades IV-VIII of primary schools. They always take place in the Golden Hall of the Szczecin Philharmonic, where teenage music lovers can listen to the several dozen-piece Symphony Orchestra. That is the perfect time to start the adventure with an orchestral sound, which is in itself a mine of knowledge about musical instruments and works.

The next school concert will be a unique combination of two orchestras: a symphony orchestra and a sensory orchestra. What is a sensory orchestra? It will be composed of primary school students in grades IV-VIII, who will use specially constructed instruments – sensors that emit sounds through the movements of human hands. Each orchestra will have its own conductor: the symphony orchestra will be conducted by the author of the composition – Jarek Kordaczuk, and the sensory orchestra will be led by Izabela Kościesza.

The new series of school concerts "Sound Generation" will prepare young music lovers to understand music, create it and enjoy it.
