Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra on Tour

Jacek Kaspszyk On January 20, 2016 the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra begins its 146th concert tour.

The artists, together with the Orchestra’s artistic director Jacek Kaspszyk and winners of the 17th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, will give 9 concerts in Japan and South Korea, all of which will present Fryderyk Chopin’s compositions. The programme includes both Piano Concertos, as well as solo piano works.
 
The members of the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra (Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra led by violinist Jan Lewtak) will also perform compositions by Japanese composer Akira Senju in Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall on January 20.

Polish Baltic Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra’s tour in the USA

Orkiestra Polskiej Filharmonii BałtyckiejOn January 13, 2016 Polish Baltic Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra started the concert tour in the United States of America, which includes 43 concerts in the most prestigious venues in 18 states.

The longest concert tour in the orchestra’s history will continue until March 20, 2016. The programme features Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor by Fryderyk Chopin and Violin Concerto No. 2 in D minor by Henryk Wieniawski, as well as some of the finest works written by Richard Wagner, Ludwig van Beethoven, Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Nikolai Rimski-Korsakov.

The orchestra will be accompanied by violinist Jarosław Nadrzycki - winner of many prestigious international violin competitions and pianist Marcin Koziak - semi-finalist and winner of three prizes at the 16th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (2010).

Krzyż Komandorski Orderu Zasługi RP dla Elżbiety Chojnackiej

Elżbieta Chojnacka12 stycznia 2016 roku klawesynistka Elżbieta Chojnacka-Lesèvre została odznaczona Krzyżem Komandorskim Orderu Zasługi Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej za wybitne osiągnięcia w działalności artystycznej oraz za zasługi dla polskiej kultury.

Podczas uroczystości w Ambasadzie Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej w Paryżu odznaczonych zostało jeszcze czworo obywateli polskich i francuskich. W imieniu Prezydenta Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej odznaczenia wręczył ambasador Andrzej Byrt. Order Zasługi Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej nadawany jest cudzoziemcom i obywatelom polskim stale zamieszkałym za granicą, którzy swą działalnością wnieśli wybitny wkład we współpracę międzynarodową oraz współpracę łączącą Rzeczpospolitą Polską z innym państwami i narodami.
