Zooming: Luxembourg

Sepia EnsembleOn February 28, 2016 Sepia Ensemble will give the second concert of the project "Zooming: Luxembourg", organized by SONORA Agency and Forum International de Composition "Artistes en herbe" at the Foyer Européen in Luxembourg.

- "Zooming: Luxembourg" is the 3rd of the projects aimed at presenting contemporary music of selected countries. After the projects held in Estonia and Ireland, the next destination of our musical journey is Luxembourg. Contemporary music of this country is certainly composed of number of individual traits of its composers. The combination of tradition with modernity, "new virtuosity", extended instrumental techniques, colour sensitivity and new impressionism make only few, but probably the most important characteristics of the music programmed in the "Zooming: Luxembourg" concerts – says Artur Kroschel, artistic director of Sepia Ensemble.

Programme:
Marcel Reuter - Infra la neve for violin and piano
Jeannot Heinen - Aspekte über den "Minutenwalzer" von Frédéric Chopin, Op. 66 for piano
Claude Lenners - Tête-à-tête for flute and violin
Albena Petrovic-Vratchanska - Sempre e sempre for trombone and piano
Artur Kroschel - Contexture for flute, clarinet and violin
Witold Lutosławski - Subito for violin and piano
Wojciech Widłak - Shortly on Line for flute, clarinet, piano, violin and double bass
Kazimierz Serocki - Swinging music for clarinet, trombone, double bass and piano
