In 2018, the Society of Authors ZAiKS celebrates its centenary. 2018 also marks the 70th anniversary of the artistic activity of the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in Szczecin.

The organisations decided to join forces and organize the composition competition. Its task is a piece for symphony orchestra, duration up to 12 minutes. The competition is open to composers of all nationalities, with no age restrictions. Compositions should be sent or submitted in person to the headquarters of the Society by the deadline of 31 August 2018.

The works selected during the first stage will be performed by the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Patrycja Pieczara and Adam Sztaba, during the final concert on 26 October 2018 in the Szczecin Philharmonic Hall. This Competition will be adjudicated during this ceremony. Independently of the Jury Prizes, the Audience and Orchestra will grant their awards.

The Total Prize Pool is 100 000 PLN!
