Konstancja Kochaniec,

composer; born in Wrocław, Poland. She began learning to play the piano at the Grażyna Bacewicz State Music School in Wroclaw. In the years 1991-1997 she studied at the Ryszard Bukowski Secondary Music School in Wrocław in the piano class of Andrzej Janusz. From 1997 to 2003 she studied at the Faculty of Music Theory, Composition and Conducting at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław: music theory (1997-2000) and composition under the direction of Leszek Wisłocki (2000-2003). In 2003-2005 she developed her skills in composition at Włodzimierz Kotoński’s lessons in Warsaw. In 2009 she graduated from the composition class of Wiesław Cienciała and was awarded a master's degree at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. In addition, she participated in many contemporary music courses, including one in 2004 in Bystrzyca Kłodzka, where she honed her skills under the guidance of Bogusław Scheaffer and Hector Fiore.

In 2003 and 2005 she worked as an artistic director's assistant at the Joanna Bruzdowicz-Tittel’s festival "De Musique en Catalog". Currently she conducts independent creative activity – composes classical music as well as film, television, theater and illustrative pieces. She has written soundtracks for documentary films: Undergroud city (dir. A. Zwiefka), Wrocław – meeting city (dir. E. Sitek), Where it is possible to live (dir. M. Piejko), Queen of Panoramas, Trail of the first tank (dir. M. Bradke), Legend of the Vilnius conspiracy (dir. B. Bubiak). She composed music for such television programmes as Literary television news (TVP2), 13 minutes into the past (dir. M. Bradke), Good money (dir. W. Gadowski).

The composer's organ music is performed by Polish and foreign organists (Bartosz Patryk Rzyman, Cyprian Jagiełło, Luca Massaglia) at festivals such as the 12th Sandomierz Organ Evenings in the Cathedral Basilica, Internationale Festival der Kammer und Orgelmusik in Forst.

Konstancja Kochaniec was a member of the Youth Circle of the Polish Composers' Union (2010-2018). She is a member of the Union of Performing Artists STOART, the Society of Authors ZAiKS and the Polish Society for Contemporary Music.
