Premiera płyty „Euphoria"

Patronat medialny nad projektem objęło Polskie Centrum Informacji Muzycznej POLMIC.

EuphoriaBracia Meisner prezentują pierwszy wspólny krążek Euphoria zawierający światowe premiery fonograficzne czterech dzieł kompozytorów związanych ze Śląskiem. Płyta z utworami Adama Wesołowskiego i Witolda Friemanna na puzon i fortepian ukaże się nakładem wydawnictwa Ars Sonora i będzie dostępna od 30 listopada 2023 roku w serwisach streamingowych (Spotify, Apple Music) oraz w salonach Empiku i na stronie https://dobreplyty.pl 

Nagranie przedstawia kompozycje wirtuozowskie, poetyckie i prawdziwie unikatowe w wykonaniu puzonisty Jarosława Meisnera i pianisty Mateusza Meisnera.

Płytę rozpoczynają Elegia oraz dwie Suity kontemplacyjne Witolda Friemanna. Tytułowy utwór płyty Euphory Concerto, pierwotnie napisany na eufonium, został zaaranżowany przez Adama Wesołowskiego na puzon specjalnie dla Jarosława Meisnera, a więc dzięki temu wydawnictwu odbędzie się jego premiera fonograficzna w nowym opracowaniu. Po raz pierwszy w wersji na puzon i fortepian zostanie nagrany jeszcze jeden koncert Wesołowskiego: rozszerzone techniki wykonawcze, niekonwencjonalne sposoby gry na puzonie prezentuje Gliss Koncert, otwierający nowy rozdział w literaturze puzonowej.

Results of the 5th Stefan Stuligrosz Grand Prix of Polish Choral Music announced!

GrandPrix 26 11 23On the 26th of November, during the laureates' concert, we announced the winners of the "Competition of Competitions" - the 5th Stefan Stuligrosz Grand Prix of Polish Choral Music!

The main prize - Grand Prix - in the amount of PLN 25,000 and a statuette (passable) was awarded to the Białystok Female Choir at the 3 High School directed by Anna Olszewska.

Two honorable mentions in the amount of PLN 3,000 were awarded to: Skowronki Girls' Choir directed by Alicja Szeluga and La Musica Choir (younger group) directed by Joanna Knap.

The award for the best performance of a work by a Poznań composer in the amount of PLN 3000 for the piece "Cheers to my brother" by Andrzej Koszewski was received by the Poznań University of Technology Choir "Volantes Soni" directed by Paweł Łuczak.

Release of the 'Kioloik' record with Polish flute music performed by Alicja Molitorys

OpusSeries92 2023Requiem Records (Opus Series 92|2023) released the album Kioloik in November 2023, the solo phonographic debut of flautist Alicja Molitorys. The album's programme includes premiere recordings of solo and chamber works with the flute.

All works were composed over the last dozen or so years, partly commissioned by the artist.  Promotion of the album will take place on the 29th of November, 2023 at 6.00 p.m. at the Old Town Hall in Gdańsk during the "Electrifying Flute" concert at the 9th New Waves Festival. Alicja Molitorys will perform two compositions from the album: the title Kioloik by Paweł Hendrich and the album's closing Geometry of Paradox by Przemysław Scheller.

Cracow | Stars together with Sinfonietta Cracovia: Anu Tali

Maestra Anu Tali is an artist who fits perfectly into the series of concerts of Sinfonietta Cracovia, which introduces the Cracow audience to the rising stars of the European classical music scene. The Estonian conductor brings something unique to this stage: a fresh perspective and intriguing repertoire choices. The first Cracow concert of this artist will take place on the 29th of November, 2023 at 7.30 p.m. at the Cracow Philharmonic.

This November marks the 90th anniversary of birth of Krzysztof Penderecki, mentor of Sinfonietta Cracovia musicians, with whom the orchestra had the opportunity to give concerts. The concert programme includes Sinfonietta No. 3, a piece that can easily be described as one of the "musical showcases" of the Cracow ensemble.

Warsaw | 5th Polish Music Convention

The 5th Polish Music Convention, organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance, will be held on November 28-30, 2023 in Warsaw with public participation at the Academy of Fine Arts Auditorium. Gdańsk | 9th International Festival of Contemporary Music "New Waves"

NoweFale 23The programme of the 9th International Festival of Contemporary Music "New Waves" presents a complex network of contemporary compositional tendencies. The festival, organized by the Gdańsk Branch of the Polish Composers' Union, will take place from the 28th of November to the 3rd of December, 2023. Admission is free!

There will be music using traditional instruments and that using new media (electronics, multimedia), works presenting the idea of ​​absolute music and an idea that can be described as "new programmatic music", works constructed mathematically or based on improvisation.

Bydgoszcz | 6th edition of Music Festival at Blumwe Villa

Muzyka w willi 23The 6th edition of Music Festival at Blumwe Villa on November 27 - December 3, 2023 will take place in two spaces: the Jeremi Przybora Concert Studio of Polish Radio PiK (Willa Blumwe) and the concert spaces of Młyny Rothera. The programme includes special concerts dedicated to Andrzej Szwalbe (on the 100th anniversary of his birth) and Szymon Laks (on the the 40th anniversary of his death). All festival concerts will be rebroadcast on the radio.

During the recital inaugurating the Festival, tenor Karol Kozłowski and pianist Bartłomiej Wezner will present song cycles by Robert Schumann, Stefan Kisielewski and Arnold Schoenberg. The poets are Heinrich Heine and Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński.

Schaeffer 27 11 23The performative reading of the drama "Sen i nie" by Bogusław Schaeffer, directed by Magdalena Małecka-Wippich, will refer in form to an instrumental concert.

On the 27th of November, 2023 at 7.00 p.m. at the Zbigniew Raszewski Theater Institute, the audience will see the direction in which a full-scale spectacle could develop. In addition to the director's reading of the text, a multimedia, musical and scenographic setting will also be prepared especially for this occasion. Free entrance.

Three quartets, three different worlds - three masters, each in his own late style... On the 90th anniversary of birth of Krzysztof Penderecki and Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, the Silesian Quartet will present late quartets by composers on the stages of Polish universities: on the 27th of November at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk and on the 28th of November at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz.

Performed by the world-famous Polish ensemble, we will hear Krzysztof Penderecki's String Quartet No. 4, String Quartet No. 3 "..the songs sing" op. 67 by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, as well as String Quartet No. 2 by Eugeniusz Knapik.
