Zielona Góra | 'Weekend with the Independent' at the Zielona Góra Philharmonic

The programme of the 3rd edition of the "Weekend with the Independent" at the Zielona Góra Philharmonic on November 10-12, 2023 includes a recital by the Canadian pianist Carter Johnson - winner of the 2nd Stanisław Moniuszko International Polish Music Competition in Rzeszów, vocal and instrumental concert "Recovered Independent" and the final concert of "Concerto Festivo" with the participation of Łukasz Długosz. The soloists will be accompanied by the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Rafał Kłoczko.

Carter Johnson's interpretation of the Sonatina by the patron of the Zielona Góra Philharmonic will be performed on the 10th of November, as well as works by Szymanowski, Chopin and Moniuszko's Three Waltzes.

During the concert on the 11th of November, on the 105th anniversary of Poland regaining independence, Joanna Zawartko (soprano), Adrian Domarecki (tenor) and Szymon Mechliński (baritone) will present fragments from forgotten and unknown operas, works that are just being recovered and brought back to life.

W repertuarze koncertu 22 listopada o godz. 19.30 w Teatrze Palladium z udziałem skrzypka Roby'ego Lakatosa i orkiestry AUKSO pod dyrekcją Marka Mosia nie zabraknie polskiego akcentu, jakim jest utwór Witolda Lutosławskiego Nie oczekuję dziś nikogo. Artysta nazywany diabelskim skrzypkiem wystąpi w ramach V Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Muzyki Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej „Eufonie".

Roby Lakatos z łatwością łączy muzykę klasyczną, jazz oraz rodzimy, węgierski folklor. Jest muzykiem uniwersalnym, u którego genialna technika idzie w parze z kreatywnością w improwizacji.

Warsaw | 5th 'Eufonie': Sale of an additional pool of tickets to the concert with music to the film 'Peasants' begins on the 10th of November

Created in painterly animation, The Peasants, directed by DK Welchman and Hugh Welchman, is a new look at the prose of Władysław Reymont. Music to the film was created by Lukasz L.U.C. Rostkowski and the Rebel Babel Orchestras, taking inspiration from the folk soundscape of Central and Eastern Europe. It will be performed on the 18th of November at 7:30 pm at the Warsaw Philharmonic.

4 years of intensive work, more than 200,000 hours spent painting images by more than 100 artists working in four studios: in Poland, Ukraine, Serbia and Lithuania. This effect is highlighted by the musical setting, which will be presented during the festival by L.U.C. & Rebel Babel Orchestras, Bela Komoszyńska, Maria Pomianowska (Biłgorajska suka), the Song Laboratory and the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Anna Sułkowska-Migoń.

Warsaw | 5. "Eufonie": Łukasz Długosz, NUSO Orchestra from Kharkiv and Jurek Dybał

As part of the 5th International Music Festival of Central and Eastern Europe “Eufonie” the Ukrainian Symphony Orchestra (NUSO) from Kharkiv, conducted by Jurek Dybał, will perform at the Warsaw Philharmonic on the 21st November at 8 p.m. The first part of the concert will be filled with music by Witold Lutosławski and Krzysztof Penderecki: the solo part in his Concerto for Flute and Orchestra will be performed by world-renowned Polish virtuoso Łukasz Długosz.

Katowice | 11th International Henryk Mikołaj Górecki Days "Górecki 90." concert dedicated to the Philharmony patron

As part of the 11th International Henryk Mikołaj Górecki Days "Górecki 90." on the 10th of November at 7 p.m., the Silesian Chamber Orchestra conducted by Radosław Droń, together with the recognized cellist Konrad Bargieł, will invite the audience to a unique concert dedicated to the memory of the Patron of the Silesian Philharmonic - Henryk Mikołaj Górecki - whose 13th death anniversary will be celebrated on the 12th of November, 2023.

The programme includes his Elegy and works by Samuel Barber, Niccolò Paganini, Giacomo Puccini and Ludwig van Beethoven.

Festival will last till the 9th of December.

As last year, during the inauguration of the 5th International Music Festival of Central and Eastern Europe "Eufonie", one of the most famous orchestras in the world will perform: the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

On the 17th of November at 7:30 p.m. at the Warsaw Philharmonic, the ensemble conducted by Olari Elts will perform works by Edward Elgar, Karol Szymanowski, Jean Sibelius and Lotta Wennäkoski, who will be present in the audience that day.

Wałbrzych | "The Mysterious Stranger, or Episode at the Masquerade"

Filharmonia Sudecka 10 11 23"The Mysterious Stranger, or Episode at the Masquerade" is a concert to which the Sudecka Philharmonic invites you on the 10th of November, 2023 at 7 p.m. It will be a unique event - dedicated to the composer Elżbieta Sikora, on the occasion of her 80th birthday.

Elżbieta Sikora is considered a pioneer of Polish electronic music. Her work, born from the spirit of avant-garde and experiment, is a kind of revision of musical tradition based on new techniques and modern technologies. The programme of Friday's concert includes her work Five Miniatures and will be performed by the Sudecka Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Wojciech Rodek.

World premiere of the Concerto for two clarinets and symphony orchestra by Paweł Łukaszewski will also take place. The virtuosos Roman Widaszek and Rafał Kleszcz will perform as soloists.

The symphonic poems Step by Zygmunt Noskowski and Episode at the masquerade by Mieczysław Karłowicz will also be performed.

Piotr Paleczny is one of the most recognizable contemporary Polish pianists. During the concert with the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic on the 10th of November, 2023 at 7 p.m., the artist will present one of the most famous works of Polish music literature of the Romantic period - Fryderyk Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 in E minor, and earlier, in the first part of the concert, Maciej Tomasiewicz will conduct works by Bolesław Szabelski and Ludomir Różycki composed in the 20th century.

The concert will begin with Bolesław Szabelski's motoric, full of energy Toccata, which is the third and last part of the Suite intended for orchestra.

Then we will listen to the equally impressive Suite from the ballet Pan Twardowski by Ludomir Różycki, a work from 1921.

Harpist Agnieszka Kaczmarek-Bialic and flutist Alicja Molitorys have prepared a unique repertoire, which they will present at the NOSPR headquarters on the 10th of November, 2023 at 8.00 p.m. during a sensory-friendly concert as part of the "Pianissimo" series - for sensory-sensitive people looking for peace and quiet.

It will be filled with charming harmonies of harp and flute, carefully selected, calming repertoire and dimmed light. There will be places to sit, stand, and space to move freely - all so that everyone can experience music in their own way.

During 45 minutes, we will hear captivating pieces by Claude Debussy, Juchini Nakatsuru, Tamezō Narita, Oleksandr Shymka and compositions by Agnieszka Kaczmarek-Bialic herself: Folk Suite and Jaśmine Wind.
