Karol Szymanowski and Franz Schubert - these are the composers whose works will fill the programme of the Lutosławski Quartet concert at the National Forum of Music on the 15th of December, 2022 at 19.00. Both quartets

The concert will begin with the String Quartet op. 37 No. 1 by Karol Szymanowski - the work was created in the autumn of 1917, after the artist had forcibly left his hometown of Tymoszówka.

The String Quartet in A minor ‘Rosamunde’ D 804 by Franz Schubert was the only string quartet of this artist published during his lifetime. The name of the piece was taken from the cheerful second movement, whose theme Schubert drew from his own music for Helmina von Chézy's play Rosamunde.
