Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
From November 17-27, 2023, the Silesian Philharmonic will host a prestigious event - the 11th Grzegorz Fitelberg International Conductors' Competition. As many as 260 young conductors and conductors from all over the world, who are under 39 years of age, have applied. Fifty of them qualified to the first stage.
This year's competition programme included works by Stanisław Moniuszko, Karol Szymanowski, Mieczysław Karłowicz, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, Witold Lutosławski and Krzysztof Penderecki.
