”The Haunted Manor” in Krakow - celebrations of 250 years of Public Theatre in Poland

Straszny DwórThe Haunted Manor by Stanisław Moniuszko directed by Laco Adamik (scenography - Barbara Kędzierska) will be presented on December 18, 2015 in the Krakow Opera.

For the first time, the Krakow staging of the opera will feature internationally acclaimed artists, including Wojtek Śmiłek, Szymon Komasa, Dominik Sutowicz, Adam Kruszewski, as well as the Krakow Opera artists, well known to the local audience (Katarzyna Oleś-Blacha, Edyta Piasecka-Durlak, Tomasz Kuk, Wołodymyr Pankiv and Adam Szerszeń). The Krakow Opera Orchestra, Choir and Ballet will be conducted by Bartosz Żurakowski.

By joining the celebrations of 250 Years of Public Theatre in Poland, the Krakow Opera organised 3 events under the honorary auspices of Jacek Krupa, Marshal of the Małopolska Province - premiere performance of Karol Szymanowski’s King Roger (November 13, 2015), an accompanying exhibition "Szymanowski at the Krakow Opera", and a performance of Stanisław Moniuszko’s The Haunted Manor.

Next performances of the opera will take place on December 19, 20, 26 and 27, 2015.
